Who is lord nrsingadeva

They still have not figured out what is happening to her. I can only agree!! So now I only pray to the Lord that, as he gave a second chance to my auntie, he will please give her spiritual insight so that she will use the rest of her life in a way that is pleasing to the Lord.

His Grace Pankajanghri Prabhu recently said that a few months ago one Mataji had been suffering a health condition that would not go away for years. When she read about Lord Nrsimhadeva curing devotees, she realized that she could pray to Him for this purpose and she did.

The condition disappeared. A few weeks ago His Grace Jananivas Prabhu informed me that a married couple could not conceive a child. A year ago the doctor examined the wife and said that in the past some disease had occurred and her tubes were permanently closed. The couple took shelter of Lord Nrsimhadeva.

Just recently they again went to the doctor, who revealed that now the tubes are open, which normally does not happen. And, he was happy to say, she is pregnant! Manohar Shyam Prabhu revealed that recently there were massive bushfires in Argentina. There were raging hot winds and the flames were devouring everything in their path.

Emergency workers were evacuating people from their homes. The family had packed everything they could save in a vehicle and were about to drive away from the house, but the huge wall of flames was suddenly only 20 metres away. His mother cried out with all of her heart to Lord Nrsimhadeva for help. Suddenly the wind changed direction, and the flames blew away, leaving the house and her family unharmed.

We have asked his mother for her account in detail. Devotees often are humble and sometimes will not tell us about what they have experienced. Other devotees will feel inspired by their revelations. Anyone who has something to tell us about their experiences, please write it down and send to pankajanghri. Saved from Acute Cancer. On 18th March, , Sri Maheshbhai Dhokia, a congregation member from London, called me and told me that His wife, Srimati Jayshree Dhokia, is suffering from acute uterine cancer and she is being flown to Frankfurt for the last time.

Maheshbhai asked me if the devotees in Mayapur could do some prayers for his wife. Doctors in London had given up the hope and claimed that she may not last more then 3 months as the cancer had spread to most parts of lower body, that is the Abdominal and pelvic area. The following morning, I humbly requested HG Pankajanghri Prabhu and explained the whole situation to him. We were both in the pujari room near the Radha Madhava Altar. I was dressing the Mahaprabhu Deity at that time of the year and HG Pankajanghri Prabhu was making his final preparations for all the abhisekha of Lord Nrisimadeva.

Now in Germany, just during the same time the operation was going on to save Srimati Jayshree mataji. She said that Bhakta Prahlad maharaj was there to tell her the glories of Lord Nrsimhadev. She also told her husband that she completely feels like a new person and something evil has left her body. Now back in London, she was taken back to doctors for a check up. During the PET Scan, the Radiologists were shocked to discover that there was no sign of cancer at all.

They called up the hospital in Germany to confirm about the medical details of the patient. The German surgeons who operated on her could not believe what they were just hearing from the radiologist in London. The German Surgeons were shocked to hear that there was no sign of cancer at all. The German research medical unit is now deeply studying the entire case. Now little do these doctors know, that there is somebody by the name of Lord Nrsimhadeva, Who protects His devotees.

While both HG Maheshbhai and his good wife Srimati Jayshree came back to Mayapur to really have a close darshan of Lord Nrsimhadeva and come to their senses and understand as to just what had happened.

Srimati Jayshreeben just cried and cried in front of Lord Nrsimhadeva. HG Jananivas Prabhu summed up the whole transcendental episode. She vows to come to Mayapur every year and be near Lord Nrsimhadeva.

Ys Nandkishore das. Lord Nrsimhadeva Stops Storms. I remember once we had a program to test for the first time the Nitai Pada Kamala boat that was ordered by my guru maharaj, H. Jayapataka Swami, for preaching in the villages along the Ganges.

I was asked to do the first tour in the boat, but I wanted to take the students from the Gurukul school. We organized the cooking of prasadam for people that day, but suddenly it became dark and cloudy—almost raining. Tara Prabhu, who was in charge of the students, told me he was sorry but he had to cancel the journey, because the boys would get sick.

I was shocked. I was already in the kitchen preparing the prasadam, while another devotee was cooking pasta and sauce. After two minutes I went out to see the sky, and the dark clouds opened, creating a beam of sunlight shining directly over the school. No rain! But even more amazing is that when we came back from the journey, about three minutes before we reached the shore, it started raining, as the mission was accomplished. Once H. Jayapataka Swami was on a flight to Mauritius when a big hurricane hit that area.

There was a twister tornado going directly to the temple. We prayed for the safety of the flight and the temple. The day after we came to know that the twister and tornado were diverted and the temple and the flight were saved. Pot of Prasadam. One year, however, he left Mayapur right after the ceremonies for a preaching engagement.

I sat with my wife and child outside the temple on one of the benches near the entrance. It was a delicious vegetable preparation with slices of mango in it. Lord Nrsimhadev is fond of mango. We blissfully shared the prasadam, laughing and smiling about the reciprocal mercy of the Lord. Mango might have been mixed in, as they often mix the preparations from the Deity trays just before distributing them.

Recently we bought a crystal necklace with a large crystal pendant to offer to Lord Nrsimhadev, hoping He would wear it around His neck with the pendant on His chest. We were happy to offer it but never saw Him wear it. Would you like to offer some lotus flowers to the Lord? We have so many lotus flowers. She gave a donation and offered a large plate of lotus. Child Hit by Truck. Now allow me to tell a true story that happened some 10 years ago in South Africa.

The father and the daughter who experienced this event told this story to my friend, a sannyasi and devotee of Lord Nrsimhadev. This stories was also found in the newspapers, and several witnesses of this truck-accident after this incident became devotees of Lord Nrsimhadev. This happened to a simple Vaishnava family that lives there. They had back then a 5 years old daughter. She often told her playmates about her favorite God, a lion, and the kids always wondered about what kind of God this could be—a lion.

What can a five year old girl know about God? The father of the family followed a guru and surely later accepted initiation. But there was a small Hindu-community they were in close touch with. So, one day the girl was playing outside with her ball together with other kids, beside the street.

The ball, how else could it be, fell on the street, and the girl ran after her precious ball. There was nearly no traffic, a rarely used country road. But this time a very fast truck came running down the road. The father was in the first floor of the house and saw his baby girl running on the street. But he also saw the huge truck coming down, closer to his daughter with huge speed.

So he jumped out of the window of this first floor to save his daughter, and broke both his legs, when coming down, and remained laying on the ground in pain.

He had to watch how his little girl was hit by the truck and thrown through the air, some 20meter away. All children and neighbors around who observed this froze the blood.

The father later said his only desire when he saw this was to die. From the other direction came a police car that also witnessed the accident.

The truck went on and the policeman stopped his car across the street to stop him. The truck-driver hardly stopped his truck and he seemed to be very drunk.

The policeman immediately called the ambulance and ran over to the motionless laying girl in the grass. The closest hospital was a small private clinic. They advised the policeman to call the main hospital, as only they could efficiently help her, as her spine must be broken, etc. The policeman was in despair, not even knowing where the father of the girl was. However, in the end she was brought to a right hospital, the policeman accompanied the girl, and also finally the father was there.

The chief-doctor heard then what happened to the girl, and they immediately x-rayed her to see first results. The policeman wanted to rest assured how the girl was doing, and waited there to see the results. Everybody was shocked to hear what terrific accident had happened to the girl.

He threatened to fire her, as it was unacceptable to make such mistakes. Those were the pictures of the five year old girl that was hit by the truck. The doc said this cannot be, for on the x-ray there was not a single broken bone. Then suddenly the girl awoke from her faint and then told a story at full consciousness, which made its tour through the media. In the moment she picked up the ball from the street, she saw the truck coming up to her. The only thing she could do was to yell out for help.

But when putting her down, He accidentally scratched her waist, which still hurt her a bit. She spoke about how beautiful Nrsimhadev was, His hair, His eyes, etc. But his claws were very sharp, He should cut the nails. He wore a golden dhotie, etc. So, the girl was profoundly checked for any injuries, but the only injury they found on her body were those scratches and the doctor said this must be from a wild animal like a lion, as he had cases like this before. So, he was disturbed and asked if they had brought the girl to hospital, as this one was inured by a wild animal, not a truck.

Nobody was clear about what had happened. As we can see miracles still today happen. Not only in Mahabharata, Puranas or shastras that are more than thousands of years old.

The little girl was very attracted to this form of God, and in her despair she called Him for help. Lord Nrsimhadev did not look if she was initiated and have the right to call His name. He protects His devotees that sincerely worship Him in their hearts. I am sure this litte girl was no common soul.

Who knows what she did in her previous life? The sannyasi heard that she very much liked to eat sweets, and prepared a big plate full of sweets for her to rest assured she will not be able to eat it all up. He gave her the mounted plate of sweets, she took some of the sweets and ran out playing with her friends. As soon as she was gone from the room, the sannyasi went over to that plate and took the rest, as for him, this was the best maha-prasad available!

Who last time has met Lord Nrsimhadev? Narada Muni maybe?? The girl for sure, and she must be a great soul. Jai Nrsimhadev! Hari bol—Shyam Gopal prabhu. Terror Attack. Radhanath Maharaja told me a very blissful story the other day and he said I could use it. So here goes! There was that Taj Hotel where the terrorists attacked. They were fighting in there for three days, complete carnage.

The terrorists had arranged in such a way that they would always be up higher. They would shoot from a lower vantage point down. Radhanath Maharaja told me this. Picture that you are one of these soldiers or police officers and you are in this cloud of smoke and up above you there is this hail of bullets from the terrorists shooting at you.

One of those soldiers was one of our devotees. At one point, they were trying to chase these people through the hotel. They are trapped. The terrorist were throwing all these grenades, they are in a complete cloud of smoke.

They cannot see one foot in front of their face. Just a wall of bullets coming at them. This devotee police officer, with two other police officers on either side, he is in the middle, he actually was completely helpless. He remembered that he had on his ring tone on his phone Nrsimhadeva prayers. I am going to die. Save me, in an absolutely hopeless state.

When the shooting stopped, the smoke cleared, his friend to the right and his friend to the left were completely killed, riddled with bullets, and he was unscathed. And because they were shooting at him the pillar protected him. Let me give my life to the sankirtana movement. Fill your phone with Lord Nrsimhadev. Skip to content Preface A few years ago I presented a photo table at a Sunday feast at one of our temples.

Twenty Foot Flames January 10, His Grace Pankajanghri Prabhu recently said that a few months ago one Mataji had been suffering a health condition that would not go away for years.

Lord Nrsimhadeva Stops Storms I remember once we had a program to test for the first time the Nitai Pada Kamala boat that was ordered by my guru maharaj, H. As Your nails, sharp like thunderbolts, tore the abdomen of the enemy, blood surged from the body of the demon and bathed You. Your lotus-like navel is deep and Your abdomen is decorated with the auspicious three lines. Your two hands, as they directly burst open the chest of the son of Diti, appear just like a necklace of stars.

Supporting him on Your knees, You tore his chest apart which blocked the path of the stars. Your mane is burning and monstrous, and You cause the enemy to fall from his position by tearing apart his chest.

Once attaining the opportunity, under the broad roof of the clouds and sky, You raise Your hand, powerful as a mace, to strike. I meditate upon You in this form. Appearing brilliantly illuminated, Your neck, with hundreds of mane-hairs, is raised lightly and appears to be bitten by eight bolts of lightning. You divide the chest and very strong position of Hiranyakashipu. You are garlanded with his ghastly entrails. The effulgence of many suns is destroyed by Your uncheckable potency.

The many weapons sent against You are like sacrificial offerings, and You reply with unlimited weaponry. Put down, strike and slay my illusion. My Lord, Your fearful countenance, with tongue extended and sharp teeth blazing as if illuminated from within, appears as the peak of a huge mountain of gems lit by the sunrise and by fire coming from within its caves.

The enemy of Indra Hiranyakashipu made waves in the ocean of demigods and took the shraddha offerings meant for the forefathers. Confounding the intelligence of the demigods, he minimized their austerity and position in various ways. But You, O Narasimha, melted him in the pot of Your shrill laughter. Every living being in the three worlds, down to the blade of grass, was scorched by the flame of Hiranyakashipu.

But You, with Your three eyes, have annihilated this flame. Your appearance is threatening to the miscreants, and Your color is coppery like the newly risen sun. You wander about without resistance, for You are the supreme power and the maintainer of the earth. You divided into nine parts the burden of the earth Hiranyakashipu simply by the effulgence produced by the movement of Your eyebrows. Your ears are prominent, Your earrings swing to and fro and Your face appears ferocious.

Your eyebrows give Your forehead a threatening aspect, and You are most beautiful with Your high nose and reddish lips. O giver of benedictions, well-wisher of the demigods and devotees, the enemy is scattered by the effulgence the hair of Your mane. You wear no armor, yet You are decorated by beautiful locks of shining hair and many ornaments made of jewels.

Your bodily effulgence appears as if You had swallowed the newly-risen sun. Your hands exhibit various mudras, and Your waist is decorated with a gold chain, making a tinkling noise. You are equipped with bow and arrow, as well as various astras or missiles, club, mace, rod for controlling elephants, noose, and trident.

Placing the enemy upon Your lap and tearing open his abdomen, he is thus purified of all contamination, and therefore You take his intestines and wear them as a victory garland. Fall upon my foes, fall upon them, fall upon them. Bewilder them and drive them far away.

Consume, consume, consume the bodies of the enemies; incinerate and burst them asunder. Conquer, conquer, conquer forcefully my foes and their followers.

O three-eyed one, Your face appears most fearful, like time personified. Sound out the fate of the demons and kindly protect me, Your surrendered servant. O supreme form, Have mercy, have mercy upon me. Dispel, dispel my ignorance just as You uprooted the child of Diti.

You are never subjected to the sufferings of material existence. Neither are You defeated; indeed, whoever You favor will always triumph.

Be victorious. Bestow upon me the divine vision to see You always. This prayer, offered in devotional service to Lord Narasimhadeva, destroys all inauspicious things. That Lord of the universe, the universal teacher, appearing as if garlanded by the destroyed body of Hiranyakashipu, bestows all good fortune and opulence upon His worshipers.

The Lord appears in a seemingly bitter form to act for the protection of His devotee Prahlada. Anyone who reads this description of the character of Lord Narahari causes his enemies to retreat, and his sins are undone and vanquished.

As it is stated in the Bhagavad-gita, yada yada hi dharmasya glanir bhavati bharata, abhyutthanam adharmasya [Bg. Paritranaya sadhunam vinasaya ca dushkritam, sambhavami yuge yuge [Bg. The Lord appears with two purposes. Paritranaya sadhunam: just to give protection and rescue the devotees, and to kill the demons, vinasaya ca dushkritam.

So Prahlada Maharaja, five-years-old boy, his only fault was that he was Krishna conscious. He was devotee of Krishna. That was his only fault. And the father was so unkind to a child, even five years old.

The demons are so much against God consciousness that even at his home he would not allow his own child to become God conscious. This is demoniac civili So the demons are always against this Krishna consciousness movement. Just like Lord Jesus Christ, he was crucified. What was his fault? This society is so cruel.

So Prahlada Maharaja was tortured in so many ways. So one day, Hiranyakasipu After all, he was his son. Affection was there. So one day, Hiranyakasipu asked the boy,. We are engaged in hearing and talking and chanting about so many things non-Vishnu. Some of the magazines are sex literature, some cinema literature, some this literature, that So many different types.

Diabetic magazine. So that sort of hearing and chanting is not needed. We are not interested in all these magazines, because we are followers of Prahlada Maharaja.

Narada is guru of Vyasadeva. So we are a branch, but the original guru is Narada, Brahma-sampradaya. So Prahlada Maharaja is also a disciple of Narada Muni. So he teaches that sravanam kirtanam vishnoh [SB 7. We have to hear and talk and chant about Vishnu.

Sravanam kirtanam vishnoh smaranam pada-sevanam. To remember Him always, to worship His lotus feet, pada-sevanam. Arcanam, temple worship, to keep the Deity nicely worshiped, offer foodstuff, arati, this is called arcanam. Vandanam, offering prayers. These are prayers. There are so many prayers. Kesava-dhrita buddha-sarira, keshava-dhrita narahari-rupa. These are all prayers. This is also part of devotional service. Arcanam vandanam dasyam. To be always in service of the Lord, dasyam; sakhyam, to make friendship with Him, to consider Krishna as your friend.

He says So He is more anxious to take us, exactly like the father is more affectionate than the son. So He wants that we may be happy, and therefore He comes to show us.

He sends His representative, son. He leaves behind Him books so that we may go back to home, back to Godhead. So, sakhyam. Please come back to home, back to Me. Sakhyam atma-nivedanam. Atma-nivedanam means fully surrendered. So there are examples of devotees who, sarvatma-nivedanam. Just like Bali Maharaja. He gave everything to Krishna, even his body, everything, whatever, his kingdom, money, everything.

So Prahlada Maharaja says, iti pumsarpita vishnau bhaktis cen nava-lakshana. All these items means hearing. Hearing about Vishnu, chanting about Krishna, giving everything to Vishnu, offering prayers to Vishnu, offering arcana, temple worship, Vishnu.

He is the most learned. Jnana, knowledge Knowledge means to know Krishna, God, and the Vedic injunction is, yasmin vijnate sarvam evam vijnatam bhavanti. If you understand the Supreme Lord, then you understand everything. Just like we sometimes talk of science, of astronomy, economics, politics.

We talk sometimes. But in course of our studying Krishna consciousness, we know something of everything. When one becomes angry, his lips vi What is called? Quiver, yes. So he became so angry that it is said, sphuritadharah. He immediately called his teacher. I have entrusted the boy to the teachers, to brahmanas, and they have taught this Krishna consciousness. So call him. So call his teacher! Hiranyakasipu became bitterest enemy of Vishnu because his brother Hiranyaksha, he was killed by Vishnu taking the shape of Varaha.

You know the story. Since then, Hiranyakasipu was bitterest enemy. So He is my greatest enemy. Any Vishnu devotee, he will punish him, even his own son. That was his policy. So he immediately called him, the teachers, and addressed him,. So here Teachers are generally brahmanas. Not generally. To become teacher is the business of the brahmanas.

Brahmana means they have got six kinds of Everyone must have livelihood. This material world is that you must work; otherwise you cannot get your livelihood. That is the law, whatever you may be. Pathana means he must be a very learned scholar, study the Vedic literature, and must teach others also.

And in that way, whatever the disciples bring, that is his income. There is no such contract. Teaching is free.

It is the business of a brahmana to give free education to everyone. Now, it is the Just like in our institution, I am your teacher, but there is no such contract that you have to pay me. But you pay me more than anything.

So pathana pathana, that is the means of livelihood of brahmana. And kshatriya, they are kings. They can levy tax of the citizens because they are giving protection from being hurt by others. Kshatriya means one who gives protection to a man being hurt by others. That is the real root meaning. And vaisya means they should, krishi-gorakshya-vanijyam, they should engage themselves in producing foodstuff, foodgrains, krishi, protect cows.

Especially gorakshya. As the king is meant for giving protection to the man, similarly, a vaisya is supposed to give protection to the cows, or they keep cows and produce milk products. They are vaisya. And sudra, simply service.

So these are the different types of employment of different kinds of social order. And a king, the king has to see that everyone is employed. Not that hundreds of people are unemployed, and government has to give welfare, subsidy. Not like that. So here the teachers are addressed here brahma-bandho. Brahma-bandho means a person who is born by a brahmana father but is not acting as a brahmana. So Hiranyakasipu addressed the teachers brahma-bandho, not brahmana.

I gave you, I entrusted you with my son to be taught, and you have taught him this Krishna consciousness. Everything Nrsimhadeva —Posters, pendants, prints, photos, books, dolls, and brass statues of Nrsimhadeva, Krishna's unique half-man, half-lion incarnation. Lord Nrsimhadeva Slays the King of the Demons —the historical account, from the seventh canto of the Srimad-Bhagavatam, of Nrsimhadeva's extraordinary appearance and activities.
