No reason to exasperate yourself and make it all a negative experience. Remember to put sealant at the 6 corners on the cam cover gasket, as shown in the books and in the "Garage" section. By the time you get to that point, you may be excited to be so close to being done and forget I did!

Yes, you can loosen the cam caps, then re-torque them to spec. Just don't get frustrated and dig around trying to get the cam seals out, then scratch up something. Amen to that. And my newest headache: Seems the casting of the water pump body was off at the factory preventing the pump from fitting :banghead: I should be able to dremel this, yes? I wouldn't. I'd go back to whoever you got that pump from, get the correct one now that you have the original to compare it to or order from one of our vendors here and get the right one.
You may be able to "field engineer" that new pump, but if it were mine, I wouldn't do it. Parts source would be Rosenthal, thanks guys Edit - weird, the measurements seem to be the same as the previous non-OEM pump Next iCarsoft i Review.
